GRADING REQUIREMENTS FOR UNDER 10 YEARS (MONEN) AND 10-12 YEARS (YONEN)

The Samurai Judo Academy grading syllabus is based on the Judo Federation of Australia Inc. GRADING POLICY, PROCEDURES GUIDELINES MANUAL as a minimum standard recognized within the International Judo Federation.  Points are earned by bouts under competition conditions. Points for belts above orange require open competition. The higher the belt, the more advanced you need to be in judo knowledge (eg history, philosophy) and skills (eg breakfalls, randori , knowing more about each throw) and moving between techniques
